On behalf of the Seton Hall Law School’s Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law & Policy (SHLS), and with support from The Nicholson Foundation, the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) invites you to participate in one of two stakeholder discussion forums scheduled for later this month. As a follow-up to SHLS’ March 2016 report, Integration of Behavioral and Physical Health Care: Licensing and Reimbursement Barriers and Opportunities in New Jersey, the purpose of these meetings is to invite stakeholder input into proposed approaches to addressing state-level regulatory or other licensure-related administrative barriers to integration in outpatient settings. SHLS and CHCS hope to have broad representation at these meetings across primary care, mental health, and addiction treatment providers, as well as advocates and other key constituents.

John Jacobi is developing specific recommendations for how New Jersey can realign its outpatient licensing requirements to facilitate behavioral health integration. It is essential that Centers share their perspectives at one of the two public stakeholder sessions on either March 21st or 27th and make the FQHC perspective heard loud and clear. I will be speaking before the Senate Budget Committee on the 21st. Can you or anyone from your Center speak at one of these sessions?
