Join Daren Anderson from the Community Health Center Inc. in Connecticut and the Weitzman Institute to hear him share the three projects open to all New Jersey Federally Qualified Health Centers through the Weitzman Institute. Two of the three opportunities are to participate in a Project Echo

  • Project ECHO Pain: (2-hour video conference sessions, twice per month)
    • Connecting primary care providers with multidisciplinary pain care specialists for:
      • direct case consultation on managing complex chronic pain
      • didactic learning on best practices related to pain care
      • education on safe and effective use of opioid medication
  • Project ECHO Pain + Participation in a Pain Practice Improvement Collaborative (in-person kickoff session followed by periodic follow-up via videoconference)
    • A subset of the 20 practice sites participating in Project ECHO Pain sessions will be accepted to participate in a one-year Pain Practice Improvement Collaborative. During this time, teams will meet internally to test and refine changes to workflows for treating patients with complex chronic pain.
  • Project ECHO Buprenorphine: (2-hour videoconference sessions, once per month)
    • Connecting primary care providers with an expert buprenorphine ECHO faculty team for:
      • direct case consultation on managing patients receiving medication-assisted therapy with buprenorphine for opioid addiction and dependence
      • didactic learning on topics related to opioid addiction and dependence

Additional Option: Technical assistance to establish chiropractic care at your FQHC.
A subset of the 20 practice sites participating in Project ECHO Pain sessions will be accepted to receive one year of guidance from Dr. Jim Lehman, Dean of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic Medicine to establish chiropractic care at their site.

To be followed by a noon luncheon.
